Seeing double
I did this one twice, the one on the left first. Not sure that the second one was much better than the first, but it was a learning experience. Based on a photo I took from a friends place in Florida a few years ago.

Seascape
I have been working on this off and on for awhile. It originally was intended for my sister who found it a little too plain for her tastes, so I tried to add some additional interest by trying to pixelate it a little bit. Once I had the background in place I mixed paint of a similar value and shade and used a small block of wood to apply the paint. Once the paint is dry I may try sanding the surface down since it's very rough at present.
